Diya Padayachee
KwaZulu-Natal
A memory etched in my mind is when my mum taught me a lesson that has stayed with me into adulthood. She said, “As beautiful as you are on the outside, true beauty lies in the purity of your heart and your passion for serving others, without expectation of gratitude or reward.” Those words have guided me daily and opened doors to wonderful opportunities. My name is Diya Padayachee, a 20-year-old third-year law student, aspiring model, philanthropist, dancer, and actress.
From a young age, my passion for culture and tradition led me to practice various traditional performing arts. I graduated in Bharathanatyam under Kumari Ambigay after just over a year, becoming a qualified dancer and teacher. I also studied Carnatic music, harmonium, and vocals at R&S School of Music. My achievements in dance and music have allowed me to represent my culture at events like the Indian Consulate of South Africa and the Peace Players Global Exchange. In drama, I’ve secured roles in The Real Housewives of Durban and the local blockbuster Highway Sheila: The Resurrection.
“Still waters run deep,” and my vision for South Africa inspires my commitment to spreading hope and happiness through charity and kind deeds each day. Grounded in my heritage, I aim to create a brighter future for the next generation.
Jaidene Chetty
Gauteng
I am a 27-year-old born in Eshowe, KwaZulu-Natal, whose journey from a small town to becoming an admitted attorney of South Africa reflects my ambition and commitment to justice.
Growing up, I faced significant challenges against generational barriers but remained steadfast in my dream of becoming a lawyer. My hard work paid off when I earned a scholarship to study Law LLB at the University of Zululand, where I graduated with merit.
I am deeply passionate about uplifting women and youth. My core values are centered on justice, fairness, and empowerment. Despite my current role in corporate law, I actively contribute to organizations that support women with low confidence, combat domestic violence, opression and provide mentorship to students through school and varsity. My goal is to use the Miss India South Africa platform to extend these efforts and collaborate with like-minded organizations striving for meaningful change.
Guided by the principle of Ubuntu, which means “I am a person through other people. My humanity is tied to yours,” I am dedicated to creating opportunities, inspiring self-belief, and making a positive impact in the community. Through these efforts, I hope to embody the change we wish to see in the world.
Jishalini Moodley
KwaZulu-Natal
“The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall“, wise words by Nelson Mandela.
I am Jishalini Moodley, 18 years old from Pinetown. I completed matric in 2023 and I want to pursue my studies in IT. I am a passionate, kind, helpful and determined person who aims to live a life of significance. I am not willing to only be successful but to live a significant life where I take others along the journey with me.
I have learnt that you need to shoot for the moon and even if you miss, you land among the stars. Always be brave and confident in anything you do. As Blakye Lively said “The most beautiful thing you can wear is confidence“.
As a woman you should become the best version of yourself. I would like to encourage women that they should not fear the world. They should take the risk or lose the chance. We should not be afraid to be who we are. “ A strong woman knows she has strength enough for the journey, but a woman of strength knows it is in the journey where she will become strong.“
I have always been a shy and introverted girl but being in the Miss India SA Pageant has really got me out of my comfort zone and made me so much more confident in myself.
Karuna Eraman
KwaZulu-Natal
Hello, I’m Karuna Eraman, a 22-year-old from Tongaat, currently pursuing my LLB in Law. I’m proud to have achieved five distinctions in matric, including one in Hindi, a language I fluently speak, write, and read.
I live a life balanced between academics, arts, and community service. Being a black belt in Shotokan Karate, I’ve built strength, focus, and resilience. Alongside that, I’m a professional dancer, choreographer, and model, involved in the industry since 14, and I hold 19 previous pageant titles.
Music fuels my passion too—I’m an enthusiastic drummer. Raised by a single parent, my mother’s strength drives me. She taught me resilience, and this inspired my commitment to charity, volunteering at six organizations yearly.
As a motivational speaker, I visit schools to share my story and inspire students to pursue their dreams.
This pageant is more than a competition for me—it’s my opportunity to claim the title and push myself further. I’m hungry to win, to challenge myself, and to take full advantage of this platform to grow, connect with other driven individuals and make a difference. I’m ready to follow in the footsteps of past title holders and achieve great things with the support of the Miss India South Africa team.
Thank you for getting to know me!

Samishka Reddi
KwaZulu-Natal
From an early age, my love for culture, family, animals and service has been the foundation of my life’s most important decisions. Growing up in a close-knit family, I learned the values of support, compassion and dedication, principles that have shaped who I am and fuelled my desire to make a meaningful impact in the world. I firmly believe that the kindness we extend to animals is a reflection of how we treat others in society. Be empathetic.
I am currently pursuing a degree in Business and Economics, viewing it as a powerful platform to drive positive change. My aspiration is not only to achieve professional success but also to use my education to empower others, contribute to my community, and advocate for sustainable business practices that benefit both people and the planet.
My active involvement in cultural, environmental, and animal welfare initiatives in high school, deepened my commitment to the causes I hold dear. Protecting both our environment and the animals we coexist with is a responsibility we all share. This respect for nature should be a cornerstone of any community. I live by the old adage, “do good, be good, and good will come to you,” a philosophy that guides my actions every day.
Dance, a vital part of our culture, allows me to express myself in ways that words sometimes cannot and has taught me the importance of discipline, grace, and storytelling—qualities that I hope to bring to this pageant. Through my TEFL qualification, I’ve also had the privilege of teaching others, an experience that has instilled in me patience and the joy of giving back.
This pageant is not just an opportunity to celebrate my Indian roots, but also to showcase my dedication to helping people, protecting animals, and contributing to a better world. I am deeply committed to being a positive force for change, and I look forward to sharing this journey with you.
